Vanderbilt Cup Races

On Saturday night, February 12, 2011, the 16st Annual Auction for Excellence will be held in East Hills, New York. The auction, hosted by celebrity master of ceremonies Ron Darling, will benefit the many social service programs of the Sid Jacobson JCC. To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Inaugural Indy 500 Race, one of the premier items offered at the auction this year is a "once-in-a-lifetime" Indy 500 Centennial Experience Package.

The "Indy 500 Centennial Experience" will provide four people with VIP treatment in Indianapolis and, also, unforgettable rides in the restored 1909 Alco Black Beast Racer. The package includes:

-4 Fully catered VIP Suite tickets to attend the 2011 Indianapolis 500 Race- the 100th Anniversary of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”.

-4 Bronze Badges (Allowing full access to the garage area)

-4 Seats at the Driver’s Meeting (Not available to the public)

-Roundtrip Airfare for 4 people on a private Avantair aircraft

-4 days, 3 nights at the Westin Indianapolis Hotel (Thursday, May 26, 2011 to Sunday, May 30, 2011)

-Meet Janet Guthrie, the pioneering race car driver and first woman to compete in the Indy 500 and the Daytona 500 races, and Willy T. Ribbs, the first African American to qualify for the Indy 500 Race. (Subject to Ms. Guthrie and Mr.Ribbs' schedule in Indianapolis.)
